Conference Best
Presentation Awards:

The International Society of Electrochemistry will award the Best Oral and Best Poster presentations given by PhD students and young researchers up to the age of 30. More details in the page Conference Awards.

Conference Accommodation Grants:

The Hyceltec 2017 Organizing Committee will offer some accommodation grants to a number of presenting PhD students up to the age of 30. More details in the page Conference Awards.

Casa Diocesana - Seminário de Vilar

Hyceltec 2017 will be held at "Casa Diocesana - Seminário de Vilar". This house dates back to the XIX century as a monastery of the "Visitação de Santa Maria" congregation. With the Implantation of the Republic in Portugal and the further laicization of the state, the nuns left the house in the 1920's, being then converted in a catholic seminary by the new owner, Porto Diocese. In 1989, the building was deeply transformed and enlarged for a guest-house of the Diocese of Porto, offering 117 twin comfortable rooms. It was also equipped with the necessary technology to support all kind of scientific and non-scientific events. It is located on the top of a hill with a fantastic view to the Douro river and very near of the "Palácio de Cristal", an ex-libris of Porto.

How to Reach the Conference Venue?

• From Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, by Metro
  Take the Metro at the airport and get out at "Casa da Música" station. From there, you may walk all the way or you may walk to the bus stop, take a bus (there are several lines: 201, 303, 501, direction downtown, you may buy the ticket on board) and get out at Palácio de Cristal stop; then walk 3 minutes up to Casa Diocesana.


• From Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, by Bus
  Take the bus just outside the airport, line 601(you may buy the ticket on board), and get out at Palácio de Cristal stop; then walk 3 minutes up to Casa Diocesana.


• From Campanhã Train Station
  Take the Metro at the Campanhã train station (lines A, B, C, E or F) and get out at "Casa da Música" station. From there, you may walk all the way or you may walk to the bus stop, take a bus (there are several lines: 201, 303, 501, direction downtown, you may buy the ticket on board) and get out at Palácio de Cristal stop; then walk 3 minutes up to Casa Diocesana.
