Hyceltec 2017 International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) Conference Awards
The active participation of young researchers in scientific events is important. To encourage it, the International Society of Electrochemistry will award the Best Oral and Best Poster presentations given by PhD students and young researchers up to the age of 30.
These ISE Best Presenting Awards will be given according to the following guidelines:
- Eligibility: The Awards are intended only for the presenting authors. The candidates must send a certificate from their institutions confirming the respective condition (PhD student or young researcher).
- Application: The candidates should indicate their interest to participate by ticking the corresponding box in the abstract questionnaire page (first page). The confirmation of the candidates' age may be done at the conference desk.
- Evaluation: A panel of referees from the Scientific Committee will evaluate the eligible oral and poster presentations during the conference. The criteria will include: scientific originality of the contribution; quality of the oral presentation (supporting visuals, dynamism and synthesis capacity), either for regular presentations or for flash presentations. For poster presenters, it will be also considered the clarity of the poster and the quality of the discussion during the poster session.
- Winners Announcement: The announcement of the awardees will be made at the closing ceremony of the conference.
Hyceltec 2017 Accommodation Grants
The Hyceltec 2017 Organization will offer some accommodation grants to presenting PhD students up to the age of 30. The accommodation will be in the Conference Venue “Casa Diocesana – Seminário de Vilar".These Hyceltec 2017 Accommodation Awards will be given according to the following guidelines:
- Eligibility: The Awards are intended only for the presenting authors of either oral or poster presentations. The candidates must send a certificate from their institutions confirming the respective condition of PhD student. The confirmation of the candidates' age may be done at the conference desk.
- Application: The candidates should send an e-mail for the Conference Secretariat applying for the award, accompanied by the required document of PhD student and a Motivation Letter detailing the reasons for applying. The e-mail subject should be "Hyceltec 2017 Accommodation Grants".
- Application and Announcement Deadlines: The candidates should apply until April 24th. Selected candidates will be contacted within 1-2 weeks.
