Deadline for Abstracts Submission:

The Organizing Committee would like to announce the postponement of the deadline for abstracts submission: March 31, 2017.


Plenary Lectures:

The Organizing Committee is glad to announce that the Plenary Lectures are now fully confirmed. More details in the page Speakers.


Conference Best
Presentation Awards:

The International Society of Electrochemistry will award the Best Oral and Best Poster presentations given by PhD students and young researchers up to the age of 30. More details in the page Conference Awards.


Conference Accommodation Grants:

The Hyceltec 2017 Organizing Committee will offer some accommodation grants to a number of presenting PhD students up to the age of 30. More details in the page Conference Awards.



Hotel Information

For your sojourn in Porto, you are asked to choose your own hotel, according to your own personal wishes and preferences. We call the participants attention, however, to book their hotel in Porto as early as possible. The city is a typical target for many visitors during holiday season, so you should make your reservation in advance to avoid last minute no vacancy stress. Participants are asked to book, guarantee and pay their accommodation themselves.

The organization negotiated special prices with some hotels. When the reservation is made, you should confirm the price, it may have been changed in some hotels. Some are close to the Conference Venue, within 15 minutes walking. Some others are not so close, nevertheless within a walking distance for the pedestrian lovers.  

Below there is a list with the relevant information concerning each hotel. Shall you need more information, please contact directly the hotel or the Conference Secretariat. Metro stations "Casa da Música", "Carolina Michaelis" and "Trindade" referred below are accessed directly from the Francisco Sá Carneiro airport (line E) or from the main train station Campanhã (lines A, B, C, E and F). Metro station "S. Bento" referred below is accessed directly from metro station "Trindade". To use the public transport system in the Porto metropolitan area, you must use a card called "ANDANTE", which can be bought, e. g., at the metro stations, and recharged according to your needs. Make attention to validate your ANDANTE before boarding.   1. Acomodation in the Conference Venue “Casa Diocesana – Seminário de Vilar”

    2. The Conference Venue offers the possibility of accommodation, with single or double occupancy. The rooms are comfortable and offer all the general services typical in 3*** hotels, including Wi-Fi access, except TV and telephone.
    The cost is dependent on the room class: 50,00 € per night in single occupancy and 57,50 € per night in double occupancy for the new rooms; for the standard room, the cost is 40,00 € per night in single occupancy and 48,00 € per night in double occupancy. Buffet breakfast is included and a private parking car is also available.

    8. This hotel is located at a distance not easily covered by walking (more than 2 km). The best option is to take a taxi near the "Casa da Música" Metro station.
